One of the milestones of Yılmazipek is its venture into the production of silk stockings in 1945. Parachute fabric production for Turkish Aeronautical Association is yet another “first” in 1974. 1994 marks the end of the “hand loom” era and ushers in the new generation textile technology. Its dedication to innovation not merely as a catchword but with a strong commitment to sustainability, brings Yılmazipek the distinction of becoming the first ISO 9001 certified textile company in Bursa. The quest for being always on the leading edge accelerates further in 2010 when the company begins producing finished fabrics under PASTEL BY YILMAZİPEK® brand, followed by setting up its own dyehouse in 2013. New collections created in 2017 using exclusive fillsens® yarn ranks among the most environment friendly fabrics of the world. In 2019 famous fashion houses start to imprint fillsens® together with their own names on the tags of the garments they produce using this uniquely sustainable fabric. In the same year Yılmazipek fulfils the requirements of FSC® and becomes the first fabric company to obtain this prestigious certificate in Bursa. Finally, in 2020 the new family member reborn® range, comprising fabrics made of recycled polyester and polyamide materials, becomes the latest link in Yılmazipek’s long chain of sustainable innovations.
